As I'm having so much fun with Looptical, I wanted to give something back to the developer and the community here. I created a collection of 58 high quality orchestral instruments. Most of the samples were taken from the free Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra soundfont collection (http://sso.mattiaswestlund.net/download.html). The other samples originate either from http://www.freesound.org or soundfonts that have been floating on the web for years. I've packed everything up into one big zip file (over 500 mb) as it takes a lot of work to create a download link for each individual instrument. Please download the file to your computer, unzip and copy all the files to Loopticals 'document' folder. I use ifunbox for this (I know for a fact that the ipad app Audioshare can open zip files, but either it doesn't accept very big files or I haven't waited long enougmh for the file to open. Let me know if you have more luck!). After you've imported an instrument into your project (Go to the 'project' screen, select 'import' and then 'instrument'), save it to the category of your choice.
You can download the instrument pack here:
I have some more instruments (acoustic and electronic drums, piano's, saxophones, etc.) prepared for a second instrument pack, so stay tuned for that one. Lastly I want to thank the developer of Looptical for this great app. I hope you keep developing it. Any chance of giving a hint as to when the next big update with new features will arrive?
